my poor little furry girl is no more. I'm going to bury her tomorrow on a beautiful rocky island in the forest. she was such a sweet blessing in my life. now she can frolic in the sunshine and chase bugs forever with no more worries.
I had been hoping for the best in my work-induced Buzznet absence. Alas.
They drive you crazy for years, and then they die one day. I'm sad now. I hope you had a good, rocky island forest burial. She'll find lots of new friends to frolic with among the sunshine: Zelda and Mama Bee and Little Mr. Pew and all the unnamed squirrels and bunnies and possums and kittens in the yard. I have to go squeeze Phin and Trigger now. Love to you.

Oh no! And here I figured you were off having marvelous adventures somewhere and too busy to Buzz!!
What a miserable experience, and all the second-guessing. We, too, turned down pricey medical treatment for our old, old dog, ten years ago, but decided that the most important thing was to try keep her comfortable (the vet's office was NOT her favorite place!! almost as bad as the groomers). You have filled your furry darling's life with love and she understands your best intentions (even when she protests).
Hooray for the tuna feast and the happy Saturday!! I hope you don't have to put her down, but that she curls up and falls contentedly asleep, and drifts off to dreams of birds and mice and her beloved person.
Oh I am so sorry - I lost my last dog aged 17 from liver failure and it was not nice to watch him fade away unable to eat. I had to make the decision eventually to have him put to sleep and it broke my heart to do it - but it was the right thing to do.
I hope she will go peacefully and I will be thinking about you.
thanks guys. this has all been so horrible. I still don't know what to do ... Fei, you are right, she will not recover. I should just be glad she had a happy day yesterday. today she is just exhausted.
oh man, that sounds horrible.. :(( just my opinion: maybe its better to let her go.. all these pills may help to take her over some days, but if the liver is affected, its really difficult to carry it off.. :/ wait to see if she`s getting better by herself or keep giving the best care you can give..!! :/
whatever you do. best luck and wishes to you..! :(
OH I'm so sorry It's so very hard to see your baby suffering so much. I went though that too many times. I hope she passes peacefully when the time comes. You are such a good person and it's not your fault at all animals can be so very hard to read. Some show their illness and some don't. Bless you Lilypad, you are a sweet kitty and very loved ~
. . . but when I visited you, it wasn't so cluttered!!! hahahahaha!!Did they try to fit in that tiny little box?? Trigger and Phin will try to curl up in anything.
strangely, I woke up this morning and felt the urge to tidy up!

I also hope she falls contentedly asleep. I hope she dreams of bubbles and bugs as well ... her favourite prey.

no, they tend to go in boxes one at a time.
